Opened in 2012, this project was one of my first. The owner and I built everything ourselves over three weeks. The site is predominantly for the Three Beans Roastery, with a small coffee shop attached. The owner wanted to keep the place stripped back and hand done, an ode to how he set up the business. The counter was designed on wheels, with its own manual water pump and waste system so that it could be wheeled out and used as a mobile coffee cart on the weekends. Having the counter on wheels also provided flexibility when moving large crates of beans in and out of the roastery.
